“We Are One” Food Distribution

In partnership with the Houston Food Bank, we provide healthy free food once a week to over 300 families in need one of the city’s most underserved sectors. In this neighborhood, individuals and families often lack access to adequate and nutritious foods.

We distribute healthy fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, and packaged foods to ensure complete and nutritious meals are afforded to all participating families. We provide food regardless of citizenship, race, social or economic status, national origin, or religion. We believe that no one in our community should go hungry.

The distribution takes place every Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the Shrine of the Black Madonna (located at 5309 Martin Luther King Blvd., Houston, TX 77021).

Volunteers are always welcome and are asked to arrive at 9:00 AM for orientation and site set-up purposes. No prior registration or documentation is required.

The Foundation for Black Heritage & Culture is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible
